If you do not protect yourself from too many UV rays, you may get sunburned. It is not as flexible as a patio umbrella but can provide a stable range of shade and protect your skin in all directions. Of course, the shade sail is also able to act as a carport canopy to prevent the sun from shining directly on your car.

Decorating the BackyardSunShade sails are usually available in many colors. Whichever color you choose, it can add a splash of gorgeous color to your yard and make it even more beautiful. A: A shade sail is a type of outdoor shade structure made from durable, weather-resistant fabric that is stretched taut between several anchor points to create a shaded area.

Q: How to install shade sails?

A: Step 1: Attach the hardware kit to the mounting points. Make sure all attachment points are facing the middle of the sail and are tightly secured. Double check to make sure all mounting points are secure.

Step 2: Unfold the visor and secure each corner to the attachment points. Make sure to level your posts and pentagonal steel hooks, and make sure some corners are slightly lower than other points.

Step 3: Tighten the fabric. String up the shade sail with the attachment set and start tightening it by turning the stainless steel swivel hooks clockwise.

Step 4, tighten it until all the folds of the shade sail are gone. For more detailed information, download the sun sail installation guide or read the shade sail installation article.

Q: How to measure for sun shade sail?

Since there needs to be enough tension to stretch the shade sail, it is best to have a distance of one to three feet between the stainless steel ring and the anchor point on each side. Let's use a 10'x13' Rectangle Shade Sail as an example, which would require at least 12 to 16 feet by 15 to 19 feet of space.
