Canopy Cover Materials of Pop up Canopy Tents

For pop up canopy tents or portable shade canopy, many friends are confused about the various cover materials. And here we make an illustration about the most common types of the canopy cover in the market. They are polyester, polyethylene and Silvox.

Polyester is the most commonly used material for the instant canopy covers. It is durable and water resistant. Check fabric’s denier, the thicker the material the tougher it will be. Here we use water resistant instead of water proof. That means it can keep water at bay for a reasonable amount of time. However, it will eventually seep through. This material will provide UV protection but it will be minimal.

Polyethylene is going to be the most common canopy cover material for carports. And some other semi-permanent structures also use it. It is UV resistant and treated to ensure it is waterproof . This material is also best suited on frames. As we all know, some frames are going to be put up and left up. This material tends to wear out quickly on canopies that are taken up and down frequently. That’s why most instant canopies include water resistant canopy covers.

Quictent Silvox® is a newly and advanced fabric. It is adopted complicated workmanship that silvers the high density Oxford. And Quictent registered and owned it. Quictent Silvox® have several features including durable in use, lightproof, waterproof, UV-resistance and fire-resistance to some extent.

Beside the canopy cover material, then next is selecting the color. The lighter colored canopy covers are often the most favored because they will not absorb heat. Also, light color keeps you cooler underneath. However, the light canopy covers  will show the most dirt and stains. Instead, dark colored canopy covers will hide the dirt and stains. But keep in mind on a hot day they will bring the temperature under the canopy up.
